MAQUETTE CO.Summer Edition.

Most jewellers model in wax. I model in polymer clay — a method I developed myself, because clay gives me something wax doesn't: freedom of form without a mandrel, and a result durable enough to wear.

Every silver ring I make begins as a clay maquette. And sometimes, when the model comes out of my hands, I look at it and think — I can't put this in the sand. It's already exactly what it should be.

Maquette CO. is a summer collection of those originals. The sketches too good to cast. Hand-shaped, UV coated, set with freshwater pearls, raw amethysts, sea glass, Botswana agate, onyx, and faceted crystals. Each ring has its own organic form because nothing was shaped over a mandrel. Each one exists because I couldn't bring myself to destroy it.

None will be repeated.

Polymer clay · UV resin coating · natural and faceted stones · freshwater pearls · one of a kind.
